
Nickie Hyde founded Legally Large to help firms rise to the next level by optimizing the resources they already possess – their people and their systems. Through its successive array of customized services, Legally Large can offer its clients a total optimization package through Assessment, Review, Consulting, Training, and Follow-Up.
Nickie is the co-developer and author of the State Bar of Texas’ statewide curriculum for legal support staff. From this curriculum, we created sold-out seminars in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas. We also provided training sessions and presentations for the Texas State Bar Annual Convention, San Antonio Legal Support Association, and the Texas Association of Legal Professionals Educational Conference. Nickie also lectured for Austin Community College’s Legal Training Certification program.
Ms. Hyde is a published author. Her latest article, "Five Actions That Will Increase Your Bottom Line", appears in the July 2007 edition of The Texas Bar Journal. Other articles include: “Leadership - Paving the Road to be a Situational Leader” and “Kickstart to a More Productive Staff” (3-part series) appearing in The Practice Manager, published by the State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management division.
Nickie’s administrative and procedural experience derives from her 15 years in the profession, ranging from a sole practitioner to the third largest law firm in the world. While serving as an Employment Practices Liability underwriter for a Lloyd’s of London surplus lines agency, she earned the prestigious PHR (Professional in Human Resource) certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
Nickie is a member of the Association for Continuing Legal Education, American Society for Training and Development, NALS… the Association for Legal Professionals, the Texas Association of Legal Professionals, and the Austin Legal Support Association. Nickie earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a Communications Major at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
